Notes from West Michigan Transformers:
"The offensive angle of this deck, in a blue mirror-match, is to walk past the opposing character's defenses with cards that reduce defense. So, Clench is equipped with Oppress 2, which reduces opposing Tough by 2. And then Energon Sword stands a good chance of reducing opposing character's base defense to 0. Die Autobots! can reduce Autobots' defense by 2, Belligerence can change all blues into oranges, Grenade Launcher can give your characters a boost of +4 attack and so on. Nevertheless, Brawn is aided with a strong sampling of Black icon cards (within reason, without reducing the blue angle of the deck) so that he has a good chance of swinging respectably with his alt-mode. 3 copies of Swerve allow Clench to capitalize on bot mode during the attack, and his Tough 2 Alt-mode on Defense. Somewhat similarly, Ratchet can benefit from Swerve by repairing 2 damage during your opponent's turn. There are also a few standard secret actions, and some amount of hand-generation to be able to support Clench's bot-mode attack ability. Finally, although there is one copy of Security Checkpoint purely for its double-blue, this deck is otherwise wittingly devoid of upgrade removal. Reach for the attack-pump actions, combine with the heavy-weaponry in the deck, and have at it."
